PACKAGE FOR ILLION NY

Things may have settled after the switch. I'm sending my frame and 2 barrels to Illion to have the barrels fit better. This is the second time. I hope they get it correct this time. Last time was during the change over mess. I'll keep you all posted.

Just got word that my Handi was delivered at Illion. Is there a way I can track the progress in the factory ?

Yup, on the Remington website for now, but it's supposed to be on the H&R website sooner or later.

When I sent my Handi in for it's 223 ultra fluted, I was emailed a repair number along with a notification of reception.  I'd assume they would send you one if you provided an email address.

Hope all goes well with your transaction.  Mine went fine.  The new barrel fits perfect.

BTW - turn around time was almost exactly 5 weeks from the day I sent it out to the day I got it back.

Called about getting my repair number. I was told it takes 10 days after they receive a firearm before it is assigned a repair number. I was told to call back in 2 weeks. So I will.

Just got a call from Remington. They want me to send in the Huntsman barrel and foreend that I have along with the 2 barrels I already sent. Wonder why I have to send in all the barrels I have when the Huntsman fits very tight ?

They may have found something wrong with the frame and it needs to be replaced which would require all of the barrels to be fitted again, or replaced.

Well I checked to see how my H&R was progressing. If you recall, I had to return iy because when they " fixed" the one loose barrel, the 2 other barrels were than loose. I returned them and now they tell me they are wating for me to send in my one barrel. According to UPS, Illion received it on 4/21-09. I called and talked to Ed who reported that they have either not received tha barrel or the info he had was not updated. I am waiting for info as to where my Huntsman barrel is. This is the 2nd time I've had a problem with this " New Company" takeover. I was told that only 1 tenth of one percent had problem with the transition. Luckly, I'm in that group-- twice.

I was supposed to get a call telling me about the status of my repair. I never received one , so I visited the H&R repair info site. It says the gun in being reapired by a serviceman. I wish they would have called as promised. Now we will see what happens next.

NOW I HAVE TO BE ON THE PHONE WITH CUSTOMER SERVOCE FOR AT LEAST  30 STINKIN MIN. BEFORE ANYONE EVEN ANSWERS THE CALL. WHAT CRAP.

  I think the ringer on their phones are programmed not to ring in the office until you have been on hold for at lease 20 minutes.  It's like you have to prove that you really want to talk to them.

Unfortunately you may have fallen into the out-of-stock barrel pit as others have that are still waiting on H&R to fill their barrel orders.  :-\

NOPE- I SENT IN MY 3 BARRELS TO BE REPAIRED BECAUSE THEY WERE LOOSE. I SEE NO REASON FOR THE PROBLEM EXCEPT_____________________.CAN'T SAY BECAUSE OF THE RULES.
