You guys have me all fired up to get ready for some warm weather floating. Last year early fall we took 3 days and went down the Yellowstone half way between Gardner and Livingston MT. We went down that far as I have a Coleman Scanoe and we had a little bit water that wasn't smooth, couple of waves came up over the bow, had to do some bailing after that. Great time, had camp set up in the National Forest campsite, drop a truck off down stream, drive back up and hit the water. Some fantastic fishing that trip, caught the biggest rainbow of my life on that trip. Then 2 years ago, same friends and I set up hunting camp 2 miles down river for whitetails. 3 trips to ferry camp in a 10' jonboat and my Scanoe. We were all amazed at how much gear I could run in that thing. 2 1/2 hp outboard would move me upstream at a fair clip, just had to keep weight in the front to keep the nose in the water or the wind would give me fits. Gonna have to do that again this year. DP
