Marlin gunsmith suggestions?

I'm looking for a gunsmith who specializes in Marlin leveraction rifles. In particular. I'd want someone to tune and slick up action, as well as do a trigger job.

What caliber/model?  Are you talking about a hunting rifle or for Cowboy Action Shooting, etc?

You may want to check out Wild West. They did a great job on my buddy's Guide Gun. They offer trigger jobs, action jobs, large loop levers, scout set-ups, and rechambering.

Ah, good questions. It is for a 45-70 hunting rifle.

Wild West Guns is perhaps the worst place you could send it to.  Try Brockman, Nonneman, Clements, Lee's, McPherson, Clay or Reeder.

I recently had some work done on some Ruger revolvers by John Linebaugh and I asked him about having a few things done to my Marlin lever action rifle. He recommended Reg Nonneman 660-786-2443 for custom gunsmith work on the marlin lever action. Although I have never had any work done by him, I don't think John Linebaugh would make this endorsement unless he was certain the guy did quality work.
