Father's new project
« on: March 31, 2009, 04:18:06 AM »
Dad is starting a wordworking business, and I thought I would post one of his first projects here to get some feedback/comments. Let me know what you guys think!

Thanks all!

Very nice work, done with some type of CNC equipment? I could see doing a lot of outdoors/hunting/fishing themed products like that.

Thank you. It was done on a CNC machine, using ArtCam software.

I have watched the video on Craftsman's CNC set up.
Man is that thing nice.
If I did more that just play around with my wood working then that would have to be a must have item.
Maybe some day when the economy turns around, when ever that is-IF EVER!

Very nice work by the way!

I purchased one of those $2000.00 Craftsman pieces of S**T. Made by CarveWright. It broke 2 weeks after warenty ended, I called them and the waiting list to get fixed was over a year. Poor support by manufacturer. Sears here nolonger sells them. "Caveat Emptor"=buyer beware I bought the parts to fix it but instructions say to drill out screws and retap and that spooked me so it sets in my shop. Taking up room.

The clock in the above pictures was built using a CNC machine made by Shopbot, I think this one is a little better than the one from Craftsman.

Banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered - - Thomas Jefferson 1802
