Another Shooting...
« on: April 03, 2009, 11:22:46 AM »
This time in NYand with 13 - dead 5 injured...  We better hurry up and get rid of those guns before more people get killed....

Hey Dale seeing how you’re such a liberal now and feel that preemptive justice is required to keep us safe you really need to send in your guns to the BATF so they can destroy them and ensure that they never get to hurt anyone.

Glad you find that funny MS. This incident occurs to happen rather close to home and it's a tragedy, surely nothing to be joked about.

As to the loss of life there is nothing funny about it... sad and unfortunate with the saddest part being that they were trying to get their own perceived freedoms here in the US and were killed for trying to do it the right way.

The second part of my post is also not funny because so many people on here feel that we need to be protected from this type of thing when the fact is if there had been several people in the building with a gun the chances of this happing would be much lower.  I singled out Dale because he seems to have turned into a liberal these days and I am starting think he really voted for BO with his wife.

The bottom line is that many of us do not need to be protected from ourselves and really wish those of you who feel you do… well I better not say that but Natural Selection really works if you just let it.

News we get here in N.Y. from the M.S.M. is more call for more laws.It was interesting they first said he was armed with a HI-POWER rifle, then it was an AUTOMATIC weapon, now they say it was two HEAVY AUTOMATIC handguns.

Well, there's another one under way in Pennsylvania.  I think the dam is about to burst on anti-gun stuff.  The Second Amendment is about to come under full assault and I fear for it and all of us who think it is the only thing that stands between us and total tyranny.

Gun rights are going to go the way of the dinosaurs.  When you're willing to sacrifice rights/freedom in the interest of protecting the people from themselves...You're going to find you have very few rights/freedoms.

I saw His Majesty Joe Biden on TV last night regarding the shooting in NY and he took the opportunity he had to pass the news on to the people he was speaking before.  He said, "We've GOT to do something to end this violence!"  Guess what the self-proclaimed author of the Assault Weapons Ban of 1994 probably feels that "something" is?  Take a white-knuckle grip on your AR's.

Violence is going to happen and it doesn't matter what the instrument used in the violent act happens to be. Cain slew Abel with a rock, as the biblical story goes.  I guess they're going to outlaw those, too, just after the Louisville Sluggers, spears, knives, etc.  Where does their madness end?  It's a SOCIAL problem, not a weapon problem.  They just don't seem to be intelligent enough to understand this OR to be able to do anything to address those issues, so, for lack of a better solution, they attack the weapons instead.  Shows deep intellect, now doesn't it?  I'm embarrassed and ashamed that we (I didn't) as a nation put these people in office to "lead" us down the path to Socialism.

As Jim Valvano, the former coach of the N.C. State men's basketball team, while battling the cancer that was eating him alive said, "Don't give up.  Don't EVER give up."  We can't afford to, either.

I would be curious to see a comparision as to how many mass shootings that took place during the Clinton Administration versus Bush 1 and Bush 2 Administrations and how many that have already taken place during our Lord and Saviour's administration.

I may be completely wrong but it seems to me that these mass shootings always seem to intensify when the chosen ones-the democrats are in control. I have always felt that is was more than a little fishy that there seemed to be more shootings when the very people who wish to abolish the 2nd amendment are in control.

I dont trust any politician but I especially distrust democrats and I would not be suprised to find that they have been brainwashing people to commit these acts and then turn them loose on us to further their anti gun anti freedom agenda.

Outrageous conspiracy theory? Perhaps. Perhaps not.

Let's think about this.  Six massacres in Three months using guns in places where it is already elegal to be in possession of a gun.  And the liberal response is.... make more anti gun lays.   ???

Now think about this. How many shootings have you ever heard of taking place at gun shows?   I can't recall ever hearing of a single incidence of a shooting at a gun show?   Schools, hospitals, shopping malls yes, gun shows no.

So logically anyone qualified to carry (ie; no record or violent crime or psychological problems) should be allowed to carry anywhere and everywhere and in fact should be encouraged to do so.

CNN reported that PA and NY shootings were stated by the murderers as being because Obama was going to take away their guns. Just more fuel for the fire. The Dems were having to say that American gun owners were responsible for the violence in Mexico. Now they have a platform in the states to leap from.

The NY victims were legal immigrants taking classes to get their US citizenship. Both shooters had lost their jobs. The NY murderer was a Vietnamese immigrant with US citizenship. Regardless of what or who they were, the people who shot them were extremely vile. I hope if you  have a faith, no matter what it is, you will pray for the families of the slain.

For those of you old enough to remember similar events transpired to lead to the Clinton Ban. At that time children seemed to be the target though. That ban was with a Republican majority Congress. A little further back and Daddy Bush banned AUG's and HK91's for slayings promoted in the media, that time a Dem majority Congress. Now with Dem and Dem things will likely go badly for the gun owner. I do not mean to detract from those which have been murdered. History has shown that gun violence, all which is illegal, goes hand in hand with gun restrictions.

This is a bad omen. We got the 1968 gun act after Martin Luther King and Bobby Kennedy were assassinated that are still on the books. Stricter gun laws were enacted after the Columbine and other massacres. Some of those laws were ridiculous, limiting magazine capacity and banning so called assault weapons. Thank goodness some of those laws were dropped after it was obvious that they did no good and were enacted out of emotion, not fact. Now all of these mass killings are sure to bring the Liberals out to pass even more gun laws or try to pass more anti 2nd amendment gun laws. We have plenty of gun laws already in effect - too many in my opinion. Some make sense - the importation of cheap guns that are unsafe and only have one purpose, to hopefully shoot at least once to kill some one. No one buying a gun for self defense or sporting purposes would buy such a cheap gun, because they are so unreliable and unsafe. I am not sure what the local gun laws are where these shootings occurred. In a local small town, a fellow shot himself putting a gun in his waistband on a public street. After a visit to the hospital, he went home and the gun was returned to him. Yes he had a carry permit, but it is possible to get one here as long as you do not have a felony or other violent crime in your past. A similar incident happened in New York city and now the guy could be facing hard prison time. Yep - he did not have a carry permit, but New York has made it almost impossible to have one and made it a high crime just for having a gun in your possession. Liberals will try to pass more restrictive gun laws and more than likely will pass some, especially on local levels, but they will not stop the violence. As one has said here already, if guns are not available, criminals will find other ways to kill. Personally, I do not care for semi automatic handguns or "black" rifles, but I will stand up for the rights of a non-criminal citizen to have as many as they want, because if I do not, it is a slippery slope that we will not be able to recover from and all guns will be illegal before you know it. It is these type of weapons they will go after first.

The question is how do we turn the tables on the government and try and make the public understand that it is the governments fault?
Two of the shooters have started the process by stating the it was fear of loseing their guns that caused them to act.
I don't beleave the public will buy that but isn't that just what the antis and the government try and do everytime something like this happens.
They try and make the public beleave that it is all the guns fault and only nuts have guns!

The problem Longtom is that the part of the "public" that is the problem are sheep and as sheep you are never gonna convince them that more wolves are a good thing. You and I know that we all are not wolves but you will never convince people that are sheep of that fact. Especially when the left wing media is constantly convincing them that the fact that we own guns makes us unreliable! Sheep are sheep! I am perplexed as to how to deal with people that dont want you to kill anything but will go down to the McDonald's and eat hamburgers and chicken nuggets three times a day!

The guy in Pittsburgh was right he was about to lose his gun rights. Bill Clinton issued an  order when he was in office that anyone arrested for domestic violence automatically loses his right to own guns!
Once that call was made from his house to the police and they came he would be arrested. The order is retroactive if you have ever in your life had a domestic violence call put on you , you no longer have your gun rights.
My friend got caught up in this deal. He and I went down to renew our CC permits. He had one for 30 years. They took the one he had and told him he not only could not renew but had best get rid of any fire arms he had, as he could no longer have them.
That order by Clinton outlawed more gun owners than any gun law passed by congress.

"The people" really don't think about it like us.

I stopped in a local pawn shop last week asking for a used revolver.
Guy said "we don't carry handguns. Don't want to sell one to a murderer."
I said "You have a room full of perfectly good weapons here."
"I suppose you would feel better if somebody used this bat or those golf clubs. How about this chain saw?"

They had a rack of shotguns and a case full of knives but a pistol is to dangerous. ???

there  are  2  solutions

pay  lots  of  money  and hire lots  of honest  polce  to just  shoot  any one with a gun....period
as  just outlawing  guns will work as good as outlawing cocain

or  the other solution is

admit to the people  they need  to take responsibility for thier  own security
make  gun  and ammo purchases  deductable  on  your  taxes
as  you will be there  to protect  those that cant  affort a gun

offer  rewards  to citizens that  kill felons in the act
pay  you  for  having a concealed permit  or at least a tax break

was  it jefferson  that  said
''it  is the right and duty of free men to at all times be armed''
when drugs are outlawed only out laws will have drugs
DO WHAT EVER IT TAKES TO STOP A DEMOCRAT
OBAMACARE....the biggest tax hike in the  history of mankind
free choice and equality  can't co-exist
AFTER THE LIBYAN COVER-UP... remind any  democrat voters ''they sat and  watched them die''...they  told help to ''stand down''

many statements made here are fiction and are for entertainment purposes only and are in no way to be construed as a description of actual events.
no one is encouraged to do anything dangerous or break any laws.
