Tikka WSM loss of velocity

Considering a 270 wsm in a T3. Recall reading about this rifle having a short throat causing a considerable loss of velocity. Is this still true for the Tikka rifle and does this apply to other manufacturers? If true might as well go with a 270 Win. Thanks for any help.

I have a Tikka T-3 Lite in 270 WSM.I could not get published velocites untill I used Ramshot Magnum.I am getting 3,350 with a 130 gr. Ballistic tip.Knocks the snot out of Mulies!!! ;D
