Steve,

Unfortantely, there are no cannon events in Las Vegas. There was one in Arizona at one time but, I have not seen it listed in a while. Maybe, there is one in S. California during your stay. But, either way it would be atleast 3-4 hours away from Vegas.

Anyway, I'm sure you and your wife will enjoy your time in Vegas.

I built this last fall , so haven"t taken to many photos. I have been shooting 2 liter pop bottles full of water out of it.I hope to fill them with something different ,the plastic pop bottle ruptures on impact with the ground. This is test firing before completing
hope you enjoy it.

Take Care Steve

Ahhh yes, there is an un-interuptable supply of 2-liter bottles.  I'd fill them with sand or cement.

What ranges do you get?

I can do 450 yards with 7.5 lb 4" pvc pipe filled with concrete.  (short barrel).

When Steve starts driving south after about 600 miles he finally gets to US Canadian border...then he only has about 1000 mile to lost wages...all Freeway from ther if he crosses at Coutts-Sweetgrass.

Intoodeep...you might make note of that. Go to I-15 and turn north on I-15, take the Shelby-Cut Bank-Glacier National Park exit go west to  tot he traffic light turn north....

Yeah, see Hoover Dam if you get a chance. It's Impressive.

Best dam tour I've ever been on.  ;D

I prefer to call the dam "Boulder" Dam.  (Hoover was not that good of a president IMHO) The tour as stated is GREAT! Also be sure to check out Red Rock (Great Hiking) & Mt. Charleston (Be sure to get a "Mt. Charleston Coffee").

Don't gamble unless you think of it as an entertainment expense. The casino's are a hoot to go look at & the shopping & dining is second to none.

Man, wouldn't it be great to have a shoot out this way?

We started the New River Vally Annual Mortar and Cannon shoot by picking the name for it (atmospheric extraction) and setting a date.  I found a friend with access to a relative's property (beautiful 100-200yard range) and we JUST DID IT!
