After all of the bad press I've read about Taurus firearms, a person would be tempted to throw all of their Taurus guns in the dump. Apparently, I must be one of the luckiest guys in the world when it comes to them. I presently own 7, including the Model 62 stainless pump 22 rifle.
I have NEVER had one single issue with any Taurus firearm I presently own, or any one that I have owned in the past. (other than the rear sight coming loose on a PT145).It seems to me if they were really that bad, the law of averages would dictate to me that I woiuld have had at least one bad one, but, honestly, I never encountered a problem. They been/are a reliable firearm & have been right on target from the box.
I've never had to return one, or have any work done to any & haven't really had to do any major sighting in.
Like I said, I must be one fortunate dude!
