Going to Alaska !!!!

Looks like I'm going to Alaska on a fishing trip and I want to do some panning and maybe set up a sluice if I can get one on the plane . I'll be north of Anchorage for the most part around Montana creek , can I pan most anywhere or am I limited to designated areas only and is it a good area ?

 Just found out might be fishing Willow Creek also .

You can't pan on an existing mining claim.  They are supposed to be marked at the corners.  If you are going with a guide, they generally don't like that, either.  Have a great time, wish I was going with you!
