Anybody else going to hoodlumville?  I mean... artic man?  I've never been before, but have some friends going and decided to tag along.  Seems like it should be a good time for all.

Arctic  Man is a spring event that has popped up in the last 20 yrs or so  on the Richardson Highway near Summit Lake.  It started out as a small thing for a few folks and now draws huge crowds. I've never been but friends of mine go.  Its mainly for motor heads and dare devils but its a lot of fun for a lot of people. Now days they even set up a temporary Trooper station there.

I think the centerpiece event is where a snowmobiler tows a skier then releases the skier to go down a long hill.  I think they hit speeds over 80.  There are other snowmobile races and stuff too.

Check out these links for more info.  Its pretty wild.
