The last load I shot that did well was a 150 gr Sierra with 32 gr of IMR 3031. I got spme more to try and shot that load again. I adjusted the K3 so I would get 1" high at 100 yards. I shot two shots and my son shot two shots. I was happy with them they shot great. Here are our shots mine were first and my 14 year old son Jacob had the second two shots, his shot a little lower than I thought they should. Ron

This is my "long range" 30-30 ammo. But even with this spitzer bullet loaded to approx 2550 fps this is a 225 yard cartridge for 'lopes and muleys. Expansion and penetration is really quite impressive for such a light bullet.

My long range load right now is Speer 130 HP I also have some 125 gr BT's but have loaded any in the 30-30 I'll have to give them a go. The Speer 130's shoot to .5" at 50 yds. They never shot well in my '06 so they be used up in the 336!

Yes, I load one round in chamber and one in magazine. Two shot limitation is not the handicap many would assume.
This bullet shoots flat and makes big holes in mulies. Recoil is quite light.
