Boy what a day!!!!!!!!!!
« on: April 06, 2009, 12:04:16 PM »
Well as you guys know today was my first day back to work. Well the job we were at today was in Pittsburgh. I pulled up to the house to unload the material. From the new to me truck I got Friday. Well this street was narrow like many of Pittsburghs streets. There was still plenty of room for a car to get through. My boss and I were around back when we heard glass breaking out front. We go around front and a lady got to close to my truck and ripped the drivers side mirror off. :'( So after exchanging our info I decided to back my truck into the yard of the house I was working on. About an hour and a half later my boss went out to my truck to get a level out of the back of it. He just got to the tailgate that was down when a young girl from across the street backed out of her driveway. She slamed into the front of my truck knocking the legs out from under my boss. :o I heard something going on out front so I went out there. My boss was getting up off the ground. The young girl did not do any damage to the front of my truck but she messed up her rear bumper. ::) After she drove off my boss said his back now hurts him. We will see tomorrow just how bad. What are the chances of my truck being hit by 2 different people in an hour and a halfs time? :o That is just crazy. It is nice to be back to work though. ;D Dale

Well Dale your luck has to get better.

Yea the only reason I backed my truck in the yard was I did not want someone to side swipe it again. Then that girl backs into it. Geeze. Dale

Gosh Dale, sorry to hear about the bad luck with your new to you vehicle.  But don't feel too bad Dale, I went into the insurance adjusters today to get my truck repaired where a lady ran a stop sign and I broadsided her last year.  Kinked the bumper, damaged both fenders and the headlight brackets.

After I got the paperwork and headed to the repair shop got into another altercation.  While sitting at a red light, another lady lost control on the ice and slid broadside into the front of my truck.  Got the Accident number from the cop, turned around and went back to the adjusters office.  He added the hood, and front tow hooks, radiator mounting bracket, and possibly the radiator, to the work order.  Both women have the same insurance company.

Both cars were underivable afterwards, totaled.  The one last year was driving a Suzuki SUV.  The other today was driving a Ford Focus.  I drive a Ford F-350 Dully.

We've now had 90 days straight of below normal temps, where is global warming?  Not here in Fairbanks that's for sure.

Look on the bright side Dale.

A year ago she would have hit you instead of the truck so your luck is getting better.

Really sorry to hear it, hope things get better.

Guy I used to work with had a truck that had a bible in the glove box when he bought it.
Every time he took it out the truck would break down or get hit.

It's worth a shot.  :)

Of course his truck was the other end of the spectrum.
Previous owner was a drug dealer that left the truck in a body bag.
Government action special. Still had bullet holes in the dash.
