B as in B, S as in S
« on: April 07, 2009, 04:31:52 PM »

Here's the latest lead balloon concept car from GM. Brilliant. I liked it better when their concept cars had big fat tires, gigantic V8s that you could park for 8 hours and they were still warm when you got back, fins and massive chrome bumpers. One of those old bumpers probably weighs more than this toy.

Wow!  It sure looks useful alright.  If I go to buy a six-pack, I'd have to bring it home one can at a time, And hope it doesn't rain.

If you think about it, It really is brilliant.

Advertise 200 mpg, it will raise the mpg average of GM's fleet.

advertise collision protection, it will thin out the population of the greenies.

Can you see nancy p at the gates with a peterbilt emblem on her forehead? "but they said it couldn't crash!"

-Like I said "brilliant!"

It's not something I would want to be caught dead in...
If you get into an accident, where do you send the pieces to recycle?
If I agreed with you then we would both be wrong.

Mirage1988. I can't argue with that. The fleet average thing makes a lot of sense.

I have long advocated smaller cars. I won't drive one til everybody else does though.
Let's think about this!
Motorcicles (no mispelling here ;)) would become fun and without fear (again).
Commutes on cold rainy days would be hell on women though.
Dress codes would have too change drasticly---that could be a good thing.
All highway conctruction would be complete for 50 years.
Obama could fund this changeover by recycling all the big old cars and giving us our choice of new little ones.
Lovers lane would find a number in very strange positions.
Trips would be a lot more fun--no back seat driver.
You got too rmember--no tag alongs.
All shipping by rail or air or river or sea.
Deliveries would be a problem we could figger out after the plan is in place.
Blessings

I'm pretty sure that's how most people will be caught in that thing...DEAD
What kinda brainfarts are these people at GM? Is their stock worth a candy bar anymore?
Introduce that thing to the market and raise the speed limit 5-10MPH...game on

I guess that's what they term a "concept car".  It sorta looks like a wheelchair with training wheels.  If you drive one of these abortions, thats where you end up...
