handcannon,

Just curious as to why you want to do the rechamber job?  I had one done, and it did improve accuracy SOMEWHAT, but it still didn't become and M.O.A. shooter.  It just consumes almost double the powder, in some cases, and doesn't double velocity.  Recoil is very noticable and I have never been able to keep a 'scope in place.  After 75-100 rounds, one can notice changes in point of impact, and a mark on the 'scope indicating movement.  Headspace can also be a problem.  Different thicknesses of rims for the 44 Magnum and the 445 Super Magnum.  Casehead seperation sometimes occurs with mine in 1/2 dozen reloadings using Starline brass.  I actually shoot 44 Magnums from it now with a bit better accuracy than the original factory chamber!  Go figure!!!  Good-luck with your venture...BCB

Rechamber 44 to 445

Had one, kept it for awhile, fun to shoot (14" ported) but traded it off.  As to the question of why - why not? :)

The only problem I had was brass was tough to find, Starline are the only folks making it.

In no particular order any of these folks could rechamber for you:  Going from a 44 to a 445 is a pretty straightforward job.

Dunno what everyone's prices would be, but since you are supplying all the material it should be relatively inexpensive.
Have fun.

Was just looking at a new sheet from Virgin Valley and I think a rechamber job is $75.00. Seems to be the going price. You can rent a reamer but it'll cost you more than that!
