Hello everyone! I just searched around because I just purchased my 1st NEF handi rifle and I was happy to see such an informative forum for the rifle. I have a few other rifles and always thought Nef(H&R) was beneath me because of the old addage of " you get what you pay for" Boy was I ever wrong! A man that is older than me and much more wiser than I told me that if Im gonna hog hunt on his property I have to use his guns! I nornally shot a winchester 70 in 30'06 or a remington 700 in the same! Well he said " Let's see how good a shot you are" He gave me an NEF Handi rifle in 22 HORNET! Ive never shot anything less than a .243 especially at pigs! He said " If you miss or dont take what you shoot in one shot good luck finding your way back at night!" I dropped 2 100# pigs with a single shot behind the ear each! I was impressed by the accuracy and the ergonomics of the rilfe! After that I was "corrected"! Im glad I learned that lesson. So now I have a Handi in 243 with a VX-1 scope on it. Ive got it sighted in and ready to shoot!
