On the 10th the Somalians in the 28 ft life raft fell asleep. The captured Captain jumped overboard and tried to swim to the Navy ship 1 mile away. The smallies woke up and started firing on their captive. He would not return (to valuable to kill, most likely warning shots) so one jumped in and drug him back aboard the pirates' boat. Would have been a great time to blow up the life boat, if the guy calling the shots had any stones there would have been an order for the forces present to use their own discretion in dealing with the matter if an opportunity presented itself.
Would this not be a simple mission for the Seals? At night swim the mile use a rebreather that doesn't produce bubbles. Pop up and eliminate the skinnies. I can understand a little boat bouncing around in the ocean wouldn't be very good for a sniper. But come on a Seal team against smallies in a life raft?
