Obama's approval/disapproval rating charted over the past few months.

I'd bet we'll continue to see a trent of his approval rating going down over the next few years as well as his disapproval rating going up.

People voted for Obama because they blindly believed his empty rhetoric.  I'd hope people will be a little more critical in the next presidential election.

Also, conservatives need to start getting behind a strong candidate NOW.

Well you cant go by my opinion, I never thought that there were enough stupid people in this country to elect him in the first place! I said before the election that there was no way he could be the president and it was not anything racial. He was antigun, pro gun control, wanted to spread the wealth, thought socialized medicine was a good thing, Disrespected our troops in Iraq, I mean whats to like!

Now there was poll the other day that stated that ONLY 53% of Americans think Capitalism is better than socialism. So there are at least 47 % of the people in this country that have their heads in their asses! so the balance of his supporters must be the ones that believed his rhetoric!

I agree it depends on if the people that voted for him are happy or not.  If people are out of work, or social programs are shutting down due to all governmnts being flat broke (I'm helping that happen!) then many will turn on him 

Normally, that would be true.
However, you have to look at who the people blame for this mess. That person is George Bush and not Barrack Obama.

Fastforward to Nov, 2012. If the public is again asked "Who caused the recession - Bush or Obama?", I believe the people are going to still say Bush.

The Congress on the other hand is not going to be given a free pass because the leadership is just piss poor. As a lifetime democrat, I would love for us to take control over both houses for a number of years and get the things passed that need to be passed (safe social security, universal healthcare, a more agressive tax bracket on upper incomes / end of loopholes, etc).
That's not going to happen though as Reid and Pelosi are not competent enough to get it done. We're going to lose some in 2010 - that's for sure.

It is so easy to blame Bush, but do some research, this was started in 1913, when Woodrow Wilson sold out to the Federal Reserve Act.

You want universal healthcare, what a farce, stand in line and wait, and if the Government deems it necessary you get help, if not you die. Universal healthcare is not working in other countries, why in the world would it work here?

Safe social security, you think the Government can best invest your money for you, they have destroyed the American economy, and you want to trust them with your life savings?  

A more aggressive tax bracket on upper incomes, what a joke, the rich people pay 90% of the taxes in the United States, yea sounds like a good idea (NOT), people that work hard and prosper, lets take even more of there money and give it to the people that sit on there butts and do nothing.
Making people dependent on the Government is what the Deomcraps want, it is a way to control the people. What happened to the American dream of working hard and making it. Why, where is the incentive?

Let me get this right, I work my A$$ off so I can give more money to the Government, so they can in turn give it to a lazy people that want to sit in there free Government issued houses, and pop out babies in order to get more food stamps, free medical insurance and spending money. While I have to pay for my own house, my own medical insurance and be responsible for my own actions.
Am I missing something here?

The people that make jobs in America are the rich people, if I were one of them rich people I would get the hell out of America and take my money to another country, before I let the American Government redistribute my money to poor slobs.

Anybody that wants Government Health-care need only to look at Congress and the likes of Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Arlen Specter, Well hell, any one of the idiots in Washington. Do you want those fools determining your health care needs! I have to stop now or I will start cussing!

IF anyone in this country wants or needs health care they need only to apply, it is available to anyone through the present system, Medicare ,Medicaid, In Texas if you are indigent you can not be turned away from an Emergency room.

Now if you have medical insurance, or a good job you are on your own, but guess what, Obamma aint thinking of your health-care needs then anyway! He wants health-care for his oppressed constituents who are getting it now if they have enough sense to apply. I know this because I work for a Pharmacy now and I see people come in and pay rather large co pays for Meds if they have insurance. The ones that the government takes care of pay ZERO , Nill, Nada.

People that want the government to take care of their needs deserve what they get! Loss of freedom! and a life of Tyranny! You will become a slave to that government!  Vote for Obamma if you will! I pity the future of this country!

Let me tell you what I would really love.  I would love to live in a country where the government didn't feel compelled to be my nanny from the cradle to the grave.  I would love to live in a country where the government got the hell out of my way and let me earn my own keep without regulating or taxing me to death.  I could then take care of my own retirement, thank you very much, because I would have more money to save and invest for it.  I want to live in a country that believes in the rule of law and equal justice under it, and expresses that belief in a tax code that is fair to all citizens; one that doesn't penalize the successful for their success.

I think I might have been born in that country, or something close to it.  I don't know where in the hell it is, now, or if such a place exists anymore.

And I can thank the lifetime liberal democrats of the United States for that.

This government cannot protect my interests now.  Why should I expect it to protect my retirement?  After all, this is the same government that proves its financial accumen by continuing to live beyond its means.  That doesn't inspire much confidence in a fiscal conservative like me.  How tax and spend liberals figure they'll take care of 400 million retirees defies logic when they spend more than they tax.  Here's an idea....  Let those 400 million take care of themselves in their retirement.  If you get the hell out of their way during their peak earning years, they might surprise you and actually manage to take care of themselves.

And the whole class envy thing that causes someone to believe that one American should have a heavier tax burden than another American on the basis of gross income is simply disgusting.  If govenrment got the hell out of my way, I might have a shot at being one of those revoltingly rich people in the upper tax bracket, but if I had the chance, I might not take it.  Why should I bust my ass, take risks, create, and innovate so that some retarded lazy ass can profit off of my labor, creativity, and innovation?  Why do people like the quoted poster think they know more about what I should do with my money than I do? 

Let's focus on that last question in the above paragraph for a moment.  Let's say that I am a high school dropout by choice and I can't get a job because I go out of my way to be unemployable -wearing my hair too long, dressing in ripped clothing, having my body pierced and tatted to the max, in addition to being an inarticulate, uneducated moron with no job skills.  But I still gotta eat.  Besides, it isn't fair that some people have more money and more stuff than me. So I go over to curtism1234's pad with and threaten to beat the crap out of him if he doesn't hand over as much money to me as I think he should.  How is that any different than him taking my money through taxes
