It's partially cloudy but bright and sunny with no wind and 36 degrees right now. Looking to be a nice day.
Got the second half of the garden spaded yesterday, as a result the knee is a bit swollen this morning, but that's to be expected. There is another 60 foot bed that needs spading, but I am going to leave that alone for now. This bed was hidden behind a row of ornamental junipers that we took out. The bed was heavily shaded by the junipers that had grown up 15 feet tall and 6 feet across. Now that the bed is exposed there is all sorts of stuff sprouting up. We are going to let the bed go and see what comes up now that sun can reach it.
Got the lathe partially wired up yesterday. Hooked it up enough to turn it on. First time it's been running in 4 years and it sounds good. I have to run over to the Hardware store and pick up a box to finish the hook up of the lathe. Then it bolt it down and level it. Getting this down is my Goal for the day.
The wife's not feeling too chipper. When we got back from Kalispell last week, as we were unloading the back of the pickup, with the 1/2 ton of supplies she bought at Costco and Walmart, she took a header off the tail gate. Her neck has been hurting her ever since. She finally made an appointment to see the Doc next week. Can't have my chief cook and bottle washer of off on sick leave...she's also my best friend and favorite Gopher Hunting partner.
Well enough malingering at the keyboard...work to do.
