Often!!

It is scary as hell, There was a poll that came out the other day, and there are a lot of people that think the federal government should do more for them, they are owed more like medical care and housing.
The poll also said only 53% of people(over 30) think that capitalism is better than socialism. Younger people think socialism is better.

Sadly we seem to moving that way! If lucky I wont live to see it. I fear for my children.

At the pace we are going now, I think we will be socialistic in a few months. I fear for my children, your children, and you and I, Oldshooter.

Out of the 12 years of Reagen/Bush, there were only 2 years in which we were not in a recession.

Jim, that is a BALD FACED LIE (as is much of the rest of your post).  During the 8 years of President Reagan, there was only ONE year that GDP did not grow (in case you didn't know, recession is defined as a period of NEGATIVE growth), and that was his first year (1981 to 1982).  Took a little while for the stink of Carter to dissipate.  82 to 83 - 1.48% increase in GDP (all of these numbers are ADJUSTED FOR INFLATION to 2000 dollars);  83 to 84 - 8.49% increase;  84 to 85 - 4.5% increase;  85 to 86 - 4.2% increase;  86 to 87 - 2.54% increase;  87 to 88 - 4.3% increase;  88 to 89 - 4.2% increase.  In fact, during Reagan's two terms, the economy grew by over 30% (and that is adjusted for inflation).  As to the mentally ill being turned out, I believe that was due to a SCOTUS ruling that you couldn't hold them unless they were a danger to themselves or others (therefore not Reagan's fault).  As to the homeless, please.  Unless you're blind, you know that the homeless are only a problem (reported) when a Republican is in office.  Sorry, lefty.  I'm not buying the bullsh*t that you're selling.   >:(

Jim, Reagan did not throw the mentally ill out on the streets! Your left wing liberal courts and judges did. The ACLU filed a law suit saying it was unconstitutional to keep these folks locked up unless they were a danger to the public. The liberal judges agreed and they we put out on the street. You lefties want to blame any every thing on conservatives.
I am quite sure you believe Reagan and Bush nailed JC to the cross.

Now, Now Fellas, Lefties are trained at lefty school that when they say it it must be true, I think Klinkton taught that class at one time, now I believe algore has tenure there!

Thanks for doing the research on that, Casull. I thought it was "demspeak", but I did not have the time check it out! and my CRS has been acting up lately.

The most popular explanation for the 1987 crash was selling by program traders.[10] U.S. Congressman Edward J. Markey, who had been warning about the possibility of a crash, stated that "Program trading was the principal cause."[11] In program trading, computers perform rapid stock executions based on external inputs, such as the price of related securities.

I THINK HE WAS A DEMOCRAT! He did not blame Reagan for black monday! But you can if it makes you feel any better  ;D

A degree of mystery is associated with the 1987 crash, and it has been labeled as a black swan event.[7] Important assumptions concerning human rationality, the efficient market hypothesis, and economic equilibrium were brought into question by the event. Debate as to the cause of the crash still continues many years after the event, with no firm conclusions reached.

I didn't forget about it, I remember it well.  It was like heaven compared to the worry I have now as I watch our common sense, culture, economic system, and our heritage being flushed down the toilet along with my childrens and granchildrens futures.

No logical person could buy it. Fortunately, most folks in TN aren't smoking that stuff.

Thinking hard about it all day...I loved John Kennedy and Ronald Regan heck of a contrast ain't it.

My reasons were mainly that they both made Americans proud to be American. The Cuban Missile Crisis..We stood up and luckily survived it brought pride to us all. (Yes I am aware it was the Missle Deal on removal of Nukes from Turkey that really sealed the deal.) The NASA space program..first man on the moon. I believe that was the real deal that brought pride to us all.

The Regan with his obvious will to fight that freed the hostages in Iran after so many years of humiliation time and time again by the Muslim world and others. Peanut Carter brought shame to us all and the moral of the American people was at an all time low. The scumbags were afraid of Reagan and for good reason. No matter of the arms for hostages deal they were afraid of him. His demeanor and retoric brought out all the obvious love he had for this country and the people loved him for it. I think World War II shaped him into who he was. The people were desperate for a Man who loved this country who did not have a need to apologise to any other country for any reason.

They wanted someone with the courage to stand up for this nation and they got it with him.

With Obama he represents just the opposite..he gives opologies for our sins and and is looked upon as a weak man by most Americans as well as those who hatew us. He had no desire to even wear the symbol of the nation "OUR FLAG" on his breast. Only when he thought it would calm the mounting pressure and aid him in getting elected did he pin it on. He does not speak of the greatness of this nation and the sacrifices that enabled us to survive as a nation.

The American people do not like that type of man and as time goes on the more they start to resent him. The more they will reject him and his polocies.

He will go down in History as the "WORST PRESIDENT" this nation ever had. This will happen for many different reasons but the main reason will be that he does not speak nor represent the country in a manner that brings a feeling of PRIDE to the people he was supposed to represent.

Well just my two cents.
