I don't see how this can be characterized as a first test. He went to Europe and in negotiations gave away everything and got nothing.

Here's were I was going in my last post about this. The pirate's have already taken 3 more ships. Now what is the teflon don going to do. One Greek vessel, and 2 Egyptian ships. Now is he going to kiss their a**, or kick their a**. These pirate's are just going to keep doing what their doing. The best thing for him to do, is dig out the document that RR sent to the Iranian's during the hostage crisis, make a copy with his signature and send it to the pirate's. gypsyman

i  don't  want  our  men  and tax dollars  to save forign  ships

that  aew  too dumb to arm  them selves

maybe  then  the now uniquely  american concept  of  self defence  and self  relience
will  start  to take  hold  around  the world

and  the ''world community''  /coom-by-ya   ''WE''   concept will  be abandoned

NEXT  TIME  an  american  ship  is  hit
make  the pirates  look  back at  these  as the good old days
when drugs are outlawed only out laws will have drugs

I tend to agree with 45-70; don't waste our men and munitions to save ships that belong to Greece, Spain, Egypt or others. We have showed them how, now it's time to either get up off their butts and do something ..or continue being hammered.
Perhaps someday the "internationalists" and liberals in this country will begin to get an idea why real Americans believe in  self defense.

not  use  un-armed  ships
don't dock  where  you can't have an armed  ship

it  is really just that simple

trying  to mamage a  partially armed world [just the bad guys and government]
is  where things get complicated

ok its complicated , there are reasons for it . You and I have little effect on that . The fact that our Navy along with other nations are responsible for keeping shipping lanes open and safe is the point . One baby step was taken , now we see if they can walk the walk !
