Never have but it sounds interesting.

Question:  if someone has coordinates for something valuable wouldn't they go get it or have it before they published it?   ???

I have friends that were into it a few years ago. It really is just a trinkit you find nothing of any real value. After you find it your are suposed to put something in it's place for someone else to find. Dale

I have not done it yet myself but sounds like fun.  Hiking with an objective.  From what I've heard most of the stashes include a log where you would sign and date your visit.

My daughter and her husband do this as a hobby. I think is is on the honor system, you are supposed to replace what you take with something of equal value. Usually just trinkets. I think there may be hints of what you may find on the geo cache web page. I know they sign on th the web and leave comments on the different cache's they have found

I met some people in a GPS class that are very invloved in the geo-cashe hobby. They say it takes them to some very scenic places that otherwise would have been unknown to  most.

Here is the site.  Very fun and addictive.  My recommendation is if you have enough hobbies don't even think about it.  You can get very tied up in this.  If you need sonething to do it can be a lot of fun.  I usually do it when I go on vacation.  I have found a lot of beautiful places I never would have seen.  Most people try to put a geocache at a place that is pleasant to visit.

I go Geocaching with some of my family.  I started going with my son, father in law, and nephew.  We have taken others though.  My brother in law just bought a GPS unit and found his first cache last Sunday.  It is a very fun and family freindly activity.  I have had people from 3 to 85 years old go with me.
