A few years ago, a friend of mine had his 'puter service's thru AOL. He noticed that he had been billed the first of the month, and again on the 18 or 19. When he called AOL, they told him that it was a short billing month. When he got his next month's statement, they had billed him again on the 10. Basically, 3 month's billing in 2 month's. When he called them on it, he got a run around, then a supervisor ''gave him'' a month of service. When he got his next statement, it was on there again. So he cancelled the credit card, and ran his service with AOL out, to where they had contacted him, and said if he didn't renue, they were going to discontinue his service. He figured out he was within a couple days of what he had payed for. So he told them ok.
My wife had an instance where she sent in her credit card payment 5 days before it was due. It does not take 5 days to get from Ohio to Nebraska. Her next statement had a late charge on it. She had sent in what she owed, so the balance should have been zero. Instead, it had a $20 late fee on it. When she finally got thru to a supervisor, she was told that they couldn't process all the mail that had come in, and it was a holiday weekend, so some of the payments had set on desks or baskets all weekend, and hers was one of them. She got the late charge dismissed.
Right now, I'm fighting a $79 charge on my credit card from Norton Anti-Virus,Symatec. They charged me for an annual update. Problem is, the 'puter I have now, has a different virus program. My old 'puter from 2 years ago, had the Norton. This ought to be fun!! gypsyman
