I heard the girls call him BO.

I may be wrong but I thought that BO was considered a derogatory name by the blacks?

Please correct me if I am wrong.

BO, as in barack obama.  I don't believe for one second that the girls picked that name.

I bet that dog will eat better than all of us here. It will probably have better care and living quarters than us also.

There must be some mistake. Those dogs are really ugly. Do they really have one of these?

I thought they were going to "rescue" a dog from the pound to set the right tone of sensitivity. Oh well I guess they just have to settle for a well bred pedigree from the Royal family. Some other poor mutt's getting gassed now thanks to Teddy.

I saw the dog on TeeVee...looked like a nice dog. They named it 'Bo'; but from the black and white
coloration I'm surprised they didn't name it OREO.... :o.... ;D

I dont understand...
people are losing their jobs losing their homes. There are two wars going on. Piracy of the coast of Somalia. North Korea restarting it's nuclear program yadda yadda yadda...

And this idiot king, this worthless bag of hot air brings a dog home and it is headline news?

Bunch of crap IMO. I hope it pi$$es on Lord Obama's leg and then runs off and chews up queen Michelle's size 18 shoes.
Hi NSA! Can you see how many fingers I am holding up?

I'm happy the kids got a dog, their life is hard enough, and it makes me happy to see the kids so happy to have him.

I don't like the man's politics, but IMO his kids and his dog ought to be off limits.

The way I figure it, every kid needs a dog, and every dog needs a kid.

Portugese water dog- seriously?

Every dog needs a kid-I agree.

How many portugese water dogs are born with the desire to be a white house dog?

Every kid needs a dog- I agree.

How many kids that want a dog, want a portugese water dog? (except portugese water kids)

A kid wants a dog, you take him to a pound, let him pick out a dog, (or let the dog pick out the kid, not sure which way it really goes)

Everything that o does seems to be planned out. He said months ago that the kids(?) wanted a portugese water dog.
Funny how after biden got ripped for getting a puppy from a breeder, ed kennedys pup ended at a rescue and o's people found it?

That pup could have been any old mutt, poodle-black lab, american eskimo- golden retriever, german shepherd- irish setter, kenyan goatherder- hawiian goldigger, the kids don't care, all they wanted was a puppy.

And I sure as heck would't give my kids pup my initials.

can you call a puppy MAN?

I agree Kids are good for dogs, and dogs are good for kids but I think a Bluetick Coon Hound would have been more appropriate! ::) ::)

I have never owned a Portugese dog but had a friend who owned one, it was a great family pet and good reteiver.  He also had a full sized Poodle, it was an excellent quail dog once you got over the idea you were hunting with a Poodle.  The deal here, his wife wanted pets, he wanted hunting dogs, the Poodle and Water Dogs pleased both.

TM7, What I meant was that kids don't care about bloodlines, the dog could have been any breed. The hypo allergenic thing is bs, there is probably a servant following that dog around the white hotel with a vacuum cleaner.
What I don't understand though is all the hoopla about 'breeders', why is it now so bad to try to keep a dogs bloodline?
Puppies (and kittens) end up in shelters because of irresponsible owners that don't control their dogs when they are in heat, or have them fixed.
We got our boxer as a pup from my mother-in-law as an engagement gift, and the stud belongs to a friend of ours. We have bred her twice now and the pups all sold within a week, the second litter all by word of mouth from people that got pups from the first litter.
Dogs have been bred for specific reasons for hundreds of years, why now is it wrong to have a purebred?
All this has been started by PETA, they sure are able to get in thru the back door.
