EVERYTHING IS "POLITICALLY ON SCHEDULE" AS FAR AS THE "HISTORICAL" ASPECT OF THIS COUNTRY AND IT'S PRESIDENCY IS CONCERNED.

Maybe its just me? But why vote if its all on schedule! What difference does it make!

Look, You maintain I should vote for somebody that will not win ! Not my opinion, it has been proven every four years, since I have been voting anyway!

I say Why vote if thats all I can expect!

I do not like the two party system anymore than anyone else, but until it is changed when we vote for the independent we throw the election for the man that "we" think will do some good.  Even mainstream candidates like Thompson and the governor of Arkansas did not have a chance, and I like those guys, now Perry may run he may not, but if he runs and there is no one else that I think will win I will vote for Him, I dont consider the candidate i vote for to be the lesser evil, he is the one I hope will do the right thing just as you vote for the independent. Difference is, my guy might win!  How in hell could McCain have been worse than Obama. We will talk about this in 3 years if there is another election.

Oldshooter, you have missed my point here. The argument in regards to Democrat vs Republican is as old as the Presidency. It has been switching back and forth since it's inception. i.e. Eight years of the Democrats, everyone is tired of them and their policies. Vote'm out, and replace'm with the Republicans. Eight years with the Republicans, everyone is tired of them and their policies. Vote'm out, and replace'm with the Democrats. Get it now?[/

No, what I maintain is, EVERYONE should stop voting for the MONOPOLIZING monopolizing TWO PARTY SYSTEM, and clean the entire bunch out.

Do you want not as bad, or do you want honesty, integrity, and full support of your rights and freedoms under the Constitution and Bill of Rights? It will never happen, under the present two party system, and that wiil never change under the present voting practices.. It is as you say a personal choice but, I do not think it fair to judge me as an independent as responsible when I am not willing to vote for a scoundrel.

I caught the switch back and forth thing! I fear that if we hold to principle and  steadfastly vote independent we may throw the pendulum off

I fully understand where you are coming from! My dilemma is while we are not settling for the lessor evil the Evil is running the country in the ground, I get a headache whenever I contemplate the hole in  the ground this administration has/is/will put us in financially!  and yes, agent 7, "W" was an accomplice

I want what you want, I'm not a trusting nincompoop, Just voting in a third party guy will not guarantee, different results. Can we be sure that the independent ain't a scoundrel!  His heart may be good but if he is an outsider he wont get far!

I will enjoy the day I see the whole bunch  get run out of town! We do need to get back to the constitution. I'm afraid I will see it from a street of gold!

There is hope in the form of the "tea parties" but will the people get up on their hind legs and do something, I dunno but it will take a massive effort to make an independent win in 2012, We will have an Idea in 2010.

Well Oldshooter, we agree that the country is in a hole and the idiots in D.C. are buying a bigger shovel to continue the dig.
As for your pondering whether an independent can be guaranteed not to be a scoundrel? NOPE! I guess not on the guarantee aspect, but you can be guaranteed the present crop of candidates on BOTH SIDES are certified, and documented scoundrels.
So is it worth the effort to climb out of the sinking boat, into another boat which shows signs of being more reliable? I think so. The present choices in the two party monopoly are losers, with documented proof.
Want change? Then change.
They will not change, until we as voters change. Now that is also a documented fact. They have no reason to change. We as a nation of "voters" at this point are all talk, and no action. The politician has lost it's fear of us, and for good reason. They simply take turns being in charge, because they know the voter will simply vote back and forth as it has since George Washington.
