KABAR's Back!

Yeah I know it's off topic......... ::)

I was feeling under the weather last week and by Thursday ended up in the ER with the heart doing 160+ in a cold sweat at rest.

ended up in a Cardiac unit on meds to bring my heart rate down and blood thinners for clots,

Just got out last night at 10:30 and am finally getting around to see some friends  ;D

it was a heck of a way to spend Easter.......... and I'll say it's good to be HOME!

Presumably you are going to have to stop eating caffeine.  Well, buck up, it's not that bad, although you need to read the ingredient lists because it's in surprising places.

Thanks everyone, it's sorta sad I'm not at work and this is the first time I could get back

and respond to the well wishes, looks like I'll be busy taking it easy this week and part of next,

the meds they have me on is to control blood pressure, control heart rate (it was too fast)

and am continuing on blood thinners as they are still worried about clots, in the mean time

I have been informed that M'Lady Carol will be coming home from the nursing home & rehab

this Friday!  :D so no more living like a batchlor  ::) ............. her cats haven't seen her in a month & a half,

and probably won't recognize her! 

 I'll be posting something a little more on topic on rubber mold making and casting resin Projo's

in the next couple of days...... as soon as I can do the photos of the stuff.....

Yeah I gotta get away from the caffeine....... I drank my morning coffee while on the heart monitor

and watched it go from around 111 up to 145 real quick! so I guess it's decafe for me!  :(

I see you enjoyed your "medical leave." Okay, maybe "enjoyed" is the wrong word...


Heretofore, any illness that will require significant time away from your GBO duties must be pre-approved by commitee and subject to a vote of the members, a rollin' of the bones, a reading of the entrails of an owl, the predicted rainfall of the Amazon, the price of rice in China, an FBI background check, a full cavity search, a partridge and/or a pair tree, and a meeting of the Harper Valley PTA.


Now enough of yer slackin', lets see some postin' !!!

Allen, glad you are recuperating.  I went through the same thing, pretty much, about 10 years ago, but without the clots.  I'm glad I had the "crisis" at that time while I was still generally pretty healthy or I probably would have just dropped dead sometime later.
