Might I suggest not watching cnn or any other ultra liberal network. When we do we make them legit, not to mention, add to their bottom line.
If everyone stopped watching, they would change or go away.
Not a real good idea to go and support your side of a issue then go home and support the other side as it tears down the work you did earlier.

It doesn't surprise me at all. CNN,MSNBC,ABC, and a couple others haven't been ''news'' stations for years. Neither have most of the newspapers. Best thing to do is ignore them, tell the company's you buy from you don't like their liberal agenda, and will abstain from buying their product. Newspapers are going down hill, from people getting their news from the internet. I havn't got our local paper in years. The only thing I miss is the comic's. gypsyman

Regardless of one's party affiliation, no sane person can think trillion dollar deficits a good or reasonable thing. The federal government has clearly demonstrated that no quantity of revenue is excessive and, as a matter of policy, they will always spend more than they have. It is a systematic breakdown of responsibility and reason.

Deficit spending is, and always will be a disaster. And I see no reason why I should want to give 50% or more of my income to a bloated, inefficient, disgusting apparatus that attacks all of the values I hold dear.

Does that make sense?

And when did wanting to keep most of my paycheck become "greed?"

Exactly. Our liberal media up here did the same thing. NO press, NO TV coverage. The city even denied the Tea Party a permit. But they did it anyway. This morning the local paper said they had a 300 person turn out. That's BULL. We went by and there was at least 300 people on one side of the road, not to mention the other roadside plus all the people in the park. It was a great turn out for a small community.

I heard the reporter say something about Illinois getting some of the stimulus money. She is no doubt a product of the new education system. She can tell you the new ''hot''perfume or clothes that are on the market, but doesn't know diddly about how this economy works. She's going to think that big business is going to get taxed to pay for this. She hasn't a clue, where big business gets their money. Somebody ought to tell her that the consumer is going to end up paying for this. Insurance company's,medical supplies,oil industry, computer service's, I don't care what company or industry you look at. If the gov't is going to tax them, to help pay for these stimulis package's, their going to pass in on down to the consumer. They have to, or they'll be out of business. Of course, that is what the present gov't real plan is. gypsyman

OKay, I can be on board with some of his populus stuff. But the tea party thing was a big thing in the Paul campaign.

What do they want to do with taxes and such...besides pay less and not give them away to corps.?

It is more than just taxes, it is up holding the Constitution, quit the spending. It is not Republican or Democrat or independent. It is all of them, it is not about Bush, sure we all realize it started way before the current administration, but we can sit here and play the blame game, but the fact of the matter is, we cannot keep this out of control spending, over taxing us, and not upholding the Construction with this new administration.

It is about we the people, they work for us, and we want them to listen to what we want.

We are not a bunch of radical nut's. We want our country back, and our Government to do there job as we elected them to do. Government is getting to big, trying to control every aspect of out lives. We don't need big brother, we don't need to become dependent on our Government, we need to be held accountable for ourselves as they should be for themselves.

We are just not protesting taxes, we are all concerned for out kids and our grandchildren, we don't need to leave them with a debt they will never be able to pay back. We are concerned with borrowing money from China, which give China a vested interest in the United States.

The tea party is just a symbol, it is more than just taxes.

We had people at the rally that were 2 years old to 80 years old, white, black, brown, rich, poor and middle class income people. There were different party affiliations there, and everyone was there with the same concerns, we stood as one.

Until permanent term limits are in place throughout the country and have been in place for a few rotation then all this huff and bluster amounts to p*ss*ng in the wind. When kids graduate college with the dream of becoming a polititian as a lifetime CAREER, we're all screwed.

Our founding fathers were brilliant men but even they couldn't envision a system such as ours. Run by people who have absolutely NO incentive to change anything.

Protest to fix the ROOT cause first and the rest will be taken care of in the process.

Newstart, that is what Those meetings and demonstrations were all about yesterday, and they are not over.

Look the reason the Dems won the last election is the fact that they organized the voters to get out and vote. yea they did it with acorn money and they did it fraudulently in some instances but they did it. Obama told them what they wanted to hear and they bit!

If we as conservative Americans dont get out and make our voices heard we will loose again!

If you are deterred by the mainstream media then you deserve them! Do not watch them ! Do not buy the products they advertise! They want you to go away! I personally wont! I will make my voice heard and I will campaign for the person I think is looking out for my interest and that I think has a chance to win! I wont stay home and whine and I wont pout and throw my vote away!

I will do this for my children! I want them to have a chance to live like I have! I cant go to war anymore but I can try to be a patriot and be a part of a generation that did not sit on my hands and complain and do nothing!

Until people realize that BOTH parties are to blame, there will be nothing done. Too many people cling to their party. Both parties are going the same direction, and it's not where I want to go.

That is purely misdirection. Everyone needs to step away from their parties and "their" President wether its Bush or Obama.

By going to one of these Tea Parties, I get labeled as an extremist. Let them label me. While the MSM indoctrinates the masses, I'm out educating myself on what's going on and what is written in the Constitution. If that makes me some sort of extremist, then so be it.

And don't let them tell you the tea parties are a waste, many people including myself have never protested a thing in our lives ever, too busy working I guess, and there were a lot more people than republicans there, there was all kinds of people there. Seems to me, last time Congress was shook up it caught people by surprise, there were no protests, no news, just bam...a whole bunch of angry people removed a bunch of them. These tea parties are much bigger than that. People should walk away from the parties no matter what they think they are,
you either think "spending yourself out of debt" sounds silly, or you don't, simple as that, I can tell you right now most the people in the country know this is silly no matter who you are. It sounds silly for a home owner, a city, a state, or the federal government, and everyone with any brains knows it.

I also think that if this was not bothering the far left loonies, they would not leep bringing up and making fun of it so much. It bothers them alright...and it's bothering them that some of the same people who voted for Obama are letting their discomfort be known as well. They are getting scared, and you can bet the White House is paying attention to this as well. All the promises Obama made while running turned to dust, and people know it, and one of the things he promised is the one that is hurting him the most...transparency. Things got into the open, like what was in that legislation he signed...whoops...didn't count on you people actually reading that....

If the independent party can find someone and get things fired up now is the time to try...or at least get their foot in the door.
At the very least, changing as many seats as possible as often as possible sends a good message, and keeps Congress and the president in a tizzy....if ya can't get exactly what you want, tie their hands and make a show out of it I guess. But we have to do something. If you think your a democrat to the day you die, then fine, but if you have a republican that thinks like you do, break ranks just once...same for a republican, if there is a democrat that openly says this is all hogwash, walk away from your worthless republican representaive and vote for the dem...just do it, it feels good to break free from foolishness once in awhile. The republican that represents my state is worthless....might as well have a big D on his forehead.

Brett had it pretty close to "spot-on",..both major parties have betrayed us. I see the Tea parties as non-partisan, other thjan being in favor of the Constitution and people. They include concerns over spending, ethics/morals, 1st & 2nd amendments esp, soveriegnty and a host of other subjects. I see it as being our best hope so far, since no politician of any real stature is saying ALL these things.
If any 3rd party candidate (e.g. Paul, Palin, Hunter) wants to run he/she better get started right now to acquire the name recognition.

i think the longer we can keep both Demo. and Rep. out of the tea parties
the more chance we have of explaining they are both in trouble.

In hindsight it would have been better not to have "Hannity", "Beck" and those guys MCing the parties for obvious reasons. They are GRASSROOT and the right wing commentators gave a opening for discredit!

It is a good thing Hannidy and beck got the word out. Otherwise no one would have known about the tea parties. It don’t matter whether they support them or not the left wing press will attack.
That is the problem with us conservative. We don't join organizations to get out the vote, like the liberals do. They are out there 365 days a year working to get people to vote their way. While for the most part we sit on our butt and bitch on places like this. I am a s guilty as the next one! But if we don't get off our collective ass, there will be no America left soon!

When we do we empower them. We fill their coffers and they use it against us and others that question their filth.
