plenty of ammo around here. Walmart's inventory gets low, but that is Walmart. Sportmans Warehouse supply is low, but that has more to do with owner change as opposed to any other reason. The other businesses seem to be reaping the rewards of signicantly increased demand by keeping there inventories up. Walmart could really care less about the surge in ammo sales. They will make more money selling cheap tvs and shirts.
The way I see it, right before and after the election, a lot of nervous folk went out and cleaned the shelves at the ammo retailers. The industry has never seen anything quite like this and producers are having difficulty meeting demand. With increased demand comes increased prices. It seems the effect is across the board, because powder, cases and bullets have had areas of availability difficulty. If and when this hysteria settles down (just because you are paranoid, it doesn't mean they are not out to get you
), I suppose things will go back to normal.
