Looking For Chart
« on: April 16, 2009, 02:38:10 PM »
Being somewhat new I have not memorized
the Caliber versus bullet diameter.
Looking for a chart I could print out
with XXcal = .XXX Dia.
Thanks
Mike

Mike

I started to make my own chart a few years ago , sort of a spread sheet thing . I take the bullet Dia. and list every round that I find that will use that bullet Dia.

I have it in a small 3 ring binder along with a list of rounds and the Parent case that it was formed from , that has been some of my rainy day things to do , when its too nasty to shoot .  ;D

I have several charts at home that I use.  Seem to recall them coming out of the MidSouth Shooters Supply catalog.  One is from RCBS that lists the caliber, bullet diameter, shell holder, optional dies, trim length, etc.

I have alway been looking for a chart that will list optional brass for use when making wildcat cartridges.  For example, you can use 30-06 brass to make 308, 243, 7-08, 260 rem, 7.7 Jap, 7.65 Argentine, and I am sure probably another 20 different cases.  With all of the shortages of available components right now, a chart like this would come in handy.
