Several years ago, I use to hunt this area which is at that time was a vast amount of woods. This was
squirrel haven. Early season reqired shotgun , namely because of heavy foilage and wild ,speedy cat squirrels. Also the ever present cotton mouth always posing a threat to ruin your day!
Later on in the season .22 rifles were brought into play. Our first .22 rifles were scopeless which made for interesting shots on cat squirrels jumping from tall pines into tall oaks and cypress.
So was just trying to find out if any member`s out there still hunt this area anymore.
