Tristar Field Hunter O/U
« on: April 18, 2009, 05:17:50 PM »
Happened to see and handle a Tristar Field Hunter O/U in 28 ga. with 28" barrels in a chain sporting goods store today.  Have you ever picked up a gun and it just felt good when you shouldered it and it pointed where you swung and looked and it didn't cost a fortune?  This one did and it was priced at $349.95. No, I didn't buy it but will if I can find out some positive and negative comments on it. It won't replace my Ruger 28 ga. RL but it would make a good truck gun. If anyone has one I would appreciate your feedback.

I looked at their website but they don't give any real shooter feedback. The metal was finished off nice and the wood had good grain, fine checkering, and what appeared to be an oil finish. I would like to know about trigger pull, recocking, ejector/extractor problems. Basically if it is a good shooter worth the price.
