Boy that's a rare profiled reciever.  Someone needs to snatch this one up.   I have a 20 guage  and a 30-30/.410 like it already.  I'd love to find a 12 Ga like it sometime.

I saw one today just like it only with a 22 Hornet at a flea market.
It wasn't in as nice of shape as that one.
They were asking $300.00 for it.

Tom, if it had the profiled reciever and it was a 22 hornet (profiled) I would have given 300 for it.

There was not a 12 ga made for the profiled reciever.
Only
.410
20 GA.
30-30
22 jet

Never seen a 22 hornet but I suspect they exist.

I am unsure what is meant by profiled reciever? Are you meaning the scalloped looking thinning of upper part of smaller size barrels? I have a 158 that looks just like that with the 410, 22jet, 30-30, and 3 12ga barrels with it.
Thanks Don.

Don,
Yes that is what I was referring to. I have attached a picture to be more clear.
Left to right, 22 jet, 30-30, .410, and 20ga. I would love to see your hornet and 12 ga in a similar pic.

Sorry, the frame came with the 12ga barrels. The others were from my father in law who somehow lost track of the frame. So no slimming of my frame. It is also old enough to not have ser. #.
Thanks for the education though.
I have only shot the 30-30 so far. It shot great. My father in law says the 22 jet was very good shooter when he used to use it.
Thanks Don.

It was for sure a profiled frame.
I didn't take it apart to see if the Hornet had been fitted or not.
It seemed to match the condition of the frame very well.
There was no other barrel with it.
Don't recal seeing a serial#.

When I mentioned about wanting a 12g like my others,  I should have said that it wouldn't have to be Profiled.  I just want an old H&R 158 Topper 12G Preferably Ser# AF..........  to match the rest of my collection.  I also would like a spare profiled reciever for my extra barrel.
