CR 45 LC extraction problem

I purchased a new CR-45 recently and have had it out to the range twice since the purchase.  The first time I used it everything seemed to work fine but the chamber seemed a little tight, especially when extracting the spent cartridges.  A few days ago I took the rifle to the range and had so much trouble extracting cases that I put the rifle away after about 10 rounds.

Here are the details:  1st time out I was using Rem nickel plated brass.  Second time out I was using Federal brass without the nickel plating.  The load I was shooting was the same for both trips.  I noticed that the base of the cartridge seemed to be where things were hanging up since the brass tends to bulge slightly in that area.  I shot some rounds out of my Blackhawk and the bulge seemed to be about the same size, yet no problems extracting.  The extraction from the CR-45 was so bad that as I pulled and tugged the brass from the chamber, it ended up with a deep scratch on it from the area of the extractor.  Additional info:  Yes, the rifle was cleaned between shootings.  Yes, these are somewhat of hot loads but nothing really extreme.  From the Blackhawk the loads are moving a 255 grain bullet around 1100 to 1150 fps.  I don't know the velocity that type of load achieves from the rifle. 

All that and now here is my question:
Has anybody else had this type of problem with a 45 Colt in any H&R single shot?  Is this a common thing with H&R's in which something in the chamber needs to be polished and smoothed or was this just a fluke having to do with the choice of brass being used??

It's the extractor claw, there have been several reported that hang up on the left side of the claw causing a scratch in the spent case, mine included, touch the claw up with a file or dremel and it won't be a problem. I got a little over 1900fps with 250gr jacketed Ruger/TC loads in mine when it was a 45 Colt.

Thanks Tim!  (somehow I knew you'd have a good answer for this....how'd I guess??)  I figured a little polishing or slight grinding might take down the sharp edges.  I just didn't want to dig into it without some good advice or commentary beforehand.

Tim, you are a wealth of knowledge when it comes to these H&R's as well as other shooting/loading info.  Where would we be without you?

I had the same issue.  I had to use the dremel on mine and more than just the left side.  I think my chamber is one of the first ones cut, my loads do leave the brass buldged more than any of my other 45's or 454's.  DP
