It's 70 degrees out, can you believe it? Clear skies just a hint of a breeze. Today reminds me of the introductory Power Point slide I used when I taught at teh Customs Academy in Glynco GA.
I would open the calss by telling the students about myself and my background. Then I would tell them I worked at the port Sweetgrass MT. Most of them needed a map to find Sweetgrass, and the easterners even needed map to find Montana. They had all heard how cold it was in Montana and I explained that it was a myth. I then put up a power point that said:
On April 1st it was 79 degrees
After they absorbed that I put up the next slide:
April 2, it wasn't...
I think we have one of these storms to come yet.
Yesterday morning I got all the hardware bought for the refurb my cannon. Then in the afternoon I started working on the garage. Started out working the pile sheet lead and lead pipe that I got at the scrap yard. I bought it as 50 lbs. Fired up the coleman stove and started melting. When I roan out of gas, I had 50 lbs of ingots and about 10 more pound to melt.
This morning it was back to the garage. Got the cooled off melting gear cleaned up and put away. Got a strip of aluminum cut for the center form for my zinc melting furnace. That will let me get the big sheet out of the way.
Moved the braai out of the garage and near the back door. Now we can braai.
Emptied box of guns stocks and long items and got them put away. The empty box will be cut up into Targets for the Victorian rifleman match. Moved some sheet rock scraps so I can get to them and make additional targets.
Man this retirement thing is hard work...
