I missed the opener!

Monday was the opener of turkey season here in Ohio. I was greatly looking forward to it too. Would have been my first turkey hunt.

I was scheduled to work all weekend but on Saturday night I sustained a lower back injury lifting someone onto the ambulance gurney so I am sitting at home with my feet up with ice packs on my back and feeling more than a little bitter at having missed two days of hunting already >:(

You have my heartfelt sympothy! I came down with the flue and spent most of my season having chills and sweats with a temp of 102. Today is the last day and I had to work!  :'( :( :'( >:(

Hurt my back last Tuesday. Tried sitting in the blind for a couple of hours. Ended up having to crawl to get out of the darn thing.
