Picked up a used 45/70 Buff classic off of "arrowstar" <Great dealings by the way ;) > and it locks up perfectly on my Ultra frame. I have another couple of frames that are questionable, but the Ultra will def be the one that gets the High energy loads.

Of to the smithy it goes.  45/120 it will come back. ;D  Almost sent a frame in for the barrel, glad I waited.

Good on ya mate!   :D  Pretty soon we'll have to plan a 45-120 shoot somewhere around the geographical center of the U.S.!   ;D

I'm glad you're doing it Jerry.  Richard, let me know where that shoots gonna be.  I'll be there with Icy-Hot, band-aids and a full medical kit for youze guys.  It may also require major shim fabricating.  I'll even bring my .45-70 in case any of you sufferers need to be put out of your misery.  It works real well at that chore.  Its got a dairy Cow and a huge hog to its credit in that department.  A couple of deranged humans wouldn't hurt it any.

Seriously, Jerry, I'm wishing you the best with your project.  I think if I were younger and still had working income and no arthritis, I'd do it too.  If I did it now, It would eat up all my shooting cash just for that one caliber.

Tim thats funny.  I don't own a lead sled.  Maybe one day.  I plan on mine having the choate varmit stocks.  If eabco will do a howitzer brake I may consider that down the road.  For now I just want to have it in my hands and make it go boom again.  Ilove shooting with BP sub.  Hardly any recoil, and all that lovely smoke.  It should really turn some heads with a modern  32" sniper look belching all that smoke. ;D

Pete, I hope to not need your services. :) My right shoulder has a torn rotator cuff since 1989, never had it repaired.  My good shoulder is not much better from all the abuses its had since my other shoulder went bad.  But for some reason shooting rifles never seems to agrivate them.  Now cleaning barrels and hauling sandbags I notice!
