You'll need to contact Easton Archery for your question.

31" is a pretty long arrow. I would go to a reputable pro shop and get measured just to make sure that is the correct length for you. Also the wall thickness of the shaft needs to be matched to the bow and weight of pull. I think it is best to let a pro check out your set up. They would also be able to help with your question. Most will do this cheap or free, especially if you're buying arrows.

Checking proper draw length is easy, and a pro shop is not required.

when i bought this bow new,(1974) at a pro shop i was measured and told 31"
arrows easton 2117. I just measured and from this formula i should be shooting
29.2" arrows 73" divided by 2.5= 29.2. I have a tendance to pull past the
arrow rest with the 31" arrows so "where does the bow stop" will get this
checked out asap.

Just had another thought.
I promise i am not trying to be difficult just thought of this, i did mention this to the guy at the pro shop i stopped in one day and haven't had a chance to get back
the older compounds like mine the rest and grip are more flat inline with
the limbs where the newer are kind of concave or recessed if you look from the
side of the bow. he said without seeing my bow that was one reason for
longer arrows. It is farther from my string to rest than newer bows, and i bet
it is 2 inches farther, does that make sense. ::)

Do you have anyone that can take a digital picture of you from the side at full draw, while exposing the rest side of the bow.  I just want to see how much farther beyond your riser the arrows protrude out.

Here is something from Martin Archery http://www.martinarchery.com/easton/targeast.html

Now of course dependant on how high your arrow rest is, and the size of your broadhead blades as your do not want your broadhead resting on your riser shelf, you may have to extend your arrow length for this.  But in my case, my rest is a drop away, and so any broadhead that I use clears the riser shelf of my bow.

I am working on the pic.
my rest is one of the nylon jobs glued to the riser, going to change that,
with field points i have to be careful not to pull a 31" arrow past the rest.
with broadhead i have to be careful not to pull it into the riser.

OK!
finally got to the pro shop today, they also say 31" with this bow, no stop adjustment pull till you get to the end.  arrow is about 1" from riser at
comfotable draw, it is at 55lb now and will probably go to 65-70 lb, hope 55lb will work for elk. I shot it about 20 times and can feel it, will know more in am.
i had a trufire crackshot three finger thumb release, borowed my buddie trufire wrist release. The wrist release works way better, so i bought a
trufire huricane. With the thumb release i was having trouble keeping 6 arrows on one target, with the wrist release i could keep all in the big circle guess 12"
this is fun they are closed sunday and monday but open till 7pm rest of the week and they are on my way home, can be there by 5:30. ::) :o

we are going to check speed next vist, Tuesday feel like a kid with a new toy
