Advise on Buckmark

I recently got a Buckmark in a trade deal, and it had a scope mounted.  Its just a "thing" with me, I don't like scopes on my handguns.  I took the scope off only to realize the scope is mounted on the slide.  There are no drilled and tapped holes for sights.  Do they make a sight to fit the rail, or do I have to change the slide? 

Appreciate some knowledge from you Buckmark gurus.

My Buckmark has sights that are mounted with screws, in fact I put some Williams Firesights on it. After looking at it and refreshing my memory, it appears you may be missing the part on top that is used to mount the rear sight, there's a screw in each end that holds it to the gun, you can see it in the schematic.

After looking at the schematic, I see that most likely my gun has been altered somehow.  Probably I can either order the part, or I may disassemble and see if there is enough "meat" there to drill and tap.  I have a set of firesights that would be adequate I'm thinkin'.

Sounds like the PO replaced the rear sight with an optics rail.  Many shoooters go the other way.  Rear sight assemblies are available from the factory.  You may also be able to find one that has been removed in favor of a rail - or even swap someone.  Tactical Solutions offers a combo rail and rear sight that may interest you.

Thanks fella's.  I've begun researching the matter, and I believe that someone has replaced the rail with an optics rail.  I played with the idea of putting a rear sight on the rail, but if I did, I would have to raise the front ramp substantially.  I'll just try and order the OEM.

I tried this on a target to see how it shoots, and even without sights it "fits" me and I can do ok instinct shooting. 

I just can't quite use a pistol scope for some reason, and it makes the gun too bulky for my personal comfort.
