This is another piece of shi$ that needs a bullet right between the eyes.
what in he!! has this country come too. I think they should just use a bullet on this kind of trash and save us all some money.

I had 3rd degree burns as a kid. Due to my own fault. This kid is going to go through more pain than you can imange for some time. I say pin the man down and take a blow torch to his private area. Dale

Yep, that guy is a piece of crap alright. And he sure as heck ain't no Dad in the truest sense of the word. Ironically, I've seen this scenario go the other way too. There was a kid in my old hometown who wrestled his dad down and tied him up and was in the process of taking an oxyacetylene torch to the dad in the dad's shop during business hours of all places. Fortunately, someone intervened and called the police, and like right out of a movie, the police arrived just in the nick of time and rescued the dad before any serious damage was done. The kid went to the nut house for a couple of years over that deal.

Sheesh!  My reaction to these crazy things is that in a country of 300 million people - the statistical odds are that you can't even imagine what kind of nuts are out there and what they might do.  Hopefully a very small percentage.

I think one of the first things that might help is a little surgery to make sure this guy doesn't get overwhelmed by parenting challenges any more.

There has to be something in that guys past that made doing that OK with him! Abuse in the highest degree! I've burnt myself with a torch accidentally and it was no picnic! To hold one on a child's behind enough for third degree burns is sadistic. And points to something other than poor parental skills!

He definitely needs to be put away and some psychology is in order! I'd say death penalty but he would not suffer, and I really dont want to support him for 25 years waiting for it to happen.

I am a health care professional, and have had high level jobs in psychiatric hospitals.  I have had a lot of exposure to people with mental and emotional problems.  I have seen stories of horrific abuse.  Sadly, this is the type of person that is sometimes the product of growing up in an abusive household.
But it does not always happen.  There is more to what is inside a sadistic monster than psychiatric or emotional issues. 
Deliberately torturing a living being, human or animal, is sadistic, depraved, and evil. 
I think some of the worst monsters we know of, were not victims of an abusive childhood.
I do not feel sorry for this individual, and I hope justice catches up with him.

As an EMT, I had to help debride a child with second degree (also called partial thickness burns). It was a harrowing experience for us all.  It made you wish for a simple car wreck with decapitation.  Third degree burns do not hurt, since the nerves are destroyed, but second degree burns expose the nerves and are horribly painful.  The child in the story will suffer life-long difficulties because of the damage caused by the burns, both physically and psychologically.
