Along this same line, is anyone else concerned about the stuff that is on the tube these days? There are words and subjects commonly present on cable, but more and more on broadcast (TV and radio) programing too that never would have been allowed in the past. Even the commercials are pretty darned outrageous and would have been hilarious when I was a kid.
There is an ad on the radio, locally that seems to be played about every 5 minutes that claims that a certain clinic guarantees their medication can give you a stiffy that will last for 90 minutes, or longer and you will "perform" like a three peckered goat. And of course there are all the Viagra, Cialis, Extends and what have you, all over the place. Are we preoccupied by sex, or what? Maybe it's just that business is so good.
I hear words like p1$$edoff and son-of-a-bit** all the time, coming out of the TV and yesterday I heard another first. On a radio news story a kindergarten teacher was being disciplined for sending home a note attached to a bag of human excrement with the little boy that read: Your little turd left this on our floor.
