I know this has been covered, but I couldn't find the threads  :-\

Can a 357 or 44 mag barrel be mounted on a shotgun frame safely and functionally?

Yes, they sell em that way now and will fit those two barrels (when they have em) to SB1 frames made 1987 and later.  ;)
