THE SWINE FLU IS JUST A WAY FOR OBAMA AND HIS BOYS TO TAKE THE NEWS AWAY FROM THE CIA PAPERS HE RELEASED TO THE NEWS.  ANYONE HEARING ABOUT THE CIA PAPERS NOW?

Just more fear mongering from the liberal media IMO.

Any strain of flu is a potential killer. if you are very old, very young, have underlying medical problems that the flu could exacerbate, or have a compromised immune system guess what? the flu could KILL you! Any flu! I dont have the figures in front of me but I would bet thousands die from the flu every flu season. Why isnt the media reporting that humantity is under threat then?

A Doctor asked similar questions and did some research. http://www.whale.to/a/ten12.html

Things I caught:
1. The number 36,000 is a computer extrapolation; actual supportable numbers are less than 500 die annually of the flu.
2. Many persons vaccinated will still get the flu.
3. While not the cause of death, many die because the flu compromised them for something else.

Flu is always a serious matter and we need to take it seriously. It can be fatal.

I believe that so many people call in sick citing flu when all they have is a little one day bug or mild food poisoning. Flu can knock you down hard for weeks.

The point about media hysteria is well taken, though. It's best to get information from your public health organizations, like the state epidemiologist's office.

He told his family to avoid Planes and trains and other confined places with the public to avoid getting the flu.
Does this Idiot not remember that the drop in all travel after 9/11 droped the economy into the toilet.
Why did he not tell it like it is and say to avoid places where Mexican (especally illegals) gather and work like Mexican restaraunts, fast food, domestic help, Cheapo Depot, and the like. 
NO, that would be racest and not profiling possible threats.
Well let me say it.
Go eat at Asian restaraunts, avoid unskilled labor, and if you have a domestic help "no tra ba ho por two".

I actually saw a person walking around New Orleans today wearing a mask. I laughed so hard. I couldnt tell if he was a sheep or a lemming because of the mask.

Sorry, Pard, I was not making light as much as I was stating fact! Getting the flu could very well cancel my ticket! I do not jest in the sense that I dont take it seriously!

Funny thing about this flu strain is at least in Mexico it has been really hard on those in the prime of their life, 18-40years, and lethal. But easier on the very young and old.

I'm not saying this isnt serious, I just think it is too early to press the panic button.

And the latest: No WHO no longer calling it swine flu it is now refered to as H1N1 Influenza A.

Maybe they could create more panic by refering to it by it's latin name:Killis allis peopleis
