16 1/2" .308 Encore Rifle Barrel
« on: April 27, 2009, 03:05:30 PM »
Aloha from Hawaii!

I have a simple question that I could not find an answer to in the search forums, so I'd appreciate all the help that I can get from this knowledgeable forum.

My question is:

Will a encore pistol forend fit on a 16.5" Encore Rifle barrel?

I just got the 16.5" barrel in .308, but the Pro-hunter forend looks too huge on it, so I was wondering what kind of smaller forends were available.

Mahalo(Thanks!)

I believe the front hole is farther back on the pistol barrels. I have the rifle forearm on a custom 16 1/4 " 308 barrel for my Encore Pistol. It has the Stratton Custom hanger bar system. I like the longer forearm and have 2 sling swivel studs  one for the sling and one for a bipod. Being over 16 inches i can throw on a rifle butt stock switch out the scope and hunt as a rifle.

If it is a chopped rifle barrel, the pistol forend will not fit, unless you have it smithed to fit. I'd recommend just using the rifle forend.
