Looking for Taller Front Sight Blade for Contender Carbine

Does anyone know where I can buy a taller front sight blade for my T/C Contender carbine with factory stock iron sights?

Back in the "day" when I shot silly wet.  I had a couple of barrels that shot too high.  I would take the front sight off of the barrel.  Remove the pin holding the blade in place.  Raise the blade and silver solder it in place.  You could even get by with JB Welding it in place from the bottom.

Just a thought.  Saved time and money...
If I agreed with you then we would both be wrong.

Check with TC...I know at one time they had several different heights available.  Currently there are three different height front fire sights for the Encore rifle barrels, but I'm not sure about the Contender.  TC recently sent me a higher front sight for my Encore 12ga Turkey barrel very quickly and at no charge.

Have a gunsmith cut a dovetail slot in it and install a fiberoptic sight (those things are wonderful) or
on a 6.5" barrel I have, I opened up the slot where the blade is and soldered in a colt .45 auto blade w/ a white dot. I used a blade w/ a long tennon, cleaned all blueing from the tennon only, used 50/50 lead solder. Works great and is just as accurate as w/ the thin factory blade.

The front sight arrived I installed it right away and got out black bear hunting so I popped the scope off and give the iron sights a try when I found a nice safe spot now @ 100 yards I'm hitting a bit low need to raise the rear sight a bit more...  ;D
