Attaching Sabot

Question for those that are using a sabot. How are you attaching the ball to the sabot 1 1/2 bore

 I think masking tape would work fine for you situation.  That's what we have used on our Mt. Howitzer and that was 4.5".
If you make it idiot proof, then, someone will make a better idiot.
