Holy smoke! Now that's self defense!

Not only does one of the two perps die, the second perp is charged with second degree murder of the first perp because the first perp was killed by the victim while the two perps were committing a felony.

You know, that's no where near the tale I read through Google News. It sounds like a completely different incident, even though it's the same one.

That is the law even though it is almost never enforced. If two guys do a felony and one gets killed, the other one is responsible. Sounds to me like the DA in Florida is actually trying to fight crime and not coddle criminals.

If you take the perspective of the situation, these folks premeditated a criminal act that could possibly turn into a violent act. They must accept the responsibility for this act turning violent. It could not turn violent without commission.
Both are responsible, morally, for any deaths that occur during this act. responsible for both of their acts individually and corporatially.
