Party time at Ford?

Do you think the people at Ford are happy about the GM and Chrysler "bankruptcies"?

I think they are glad they didnt get into the whole govt money thing so they could run their own business.

I can't imagine anyone could find the difficulties at GM and Chrysler a reason to celebrate their own situation.  The weakness in the auto market has got to concern everyone in the industry.  Ford and all of its employees should hope that they can avoid a ni**ger rigging like what is going on with Chrysler and GM--at all cost.

Too bad the unions are involved in FORD too... there could be some unemployed auto-workers soon that would be happy to work for whatever Ford would pay them.

The durn unions are one of the primary causes of this whole mess.

Of course then there is the gross mis-management, ugly cars, old-designs and bad mileage.  Chrysler actually had some decent looking cars at least they weren't all the same GM bland cookie cutter styles...

They were all bloated, probably GM the most. Duplication in product lines, marketing to mostly the same end-users. If Ford were completely stable they would have reason to celebrate, they're not. They have some of the same production cost issues. There are a lot of ways they could be "going for the throat" from a marketing perspective, especially if GM drops all the dealers they are talking about eliminating.

All they have to say for a marketing plan is "WE didn't take the Bait" Everyone that matters will know what is up with that!

Ford will be the only ones not building vehicles with solar panels on top, manual crank windows, and your choice of 2 body styles, in matte finish grey, dark grey, or black...
You need one of these Komrade...

Ford is not in great enough shape to party either. Last I saw they will not turn a profit till at least 2011, and thats if things pick up, and who knows what the next year or so will bring?

I must not understand things just right. I always though that Chrysler was part of Ford. Just like GM is Chevy and Pontiac. I am missing something, I am sure. Could someone please explain to me the difference between GM, Chevy and Pontiac witch is one company. Oh yea I think you can throw in Caddy. Maybe even the Hummers. Is that the same kind of relationship that Ford and Chrysler have?  ::) ??? Dale

GM admitted they let the customers down and sold defective products.  No news there.  Chryslers are and were junk.

General Motors=GM=Chevrolet=Pontiac=Cadilac=Hummers, used to =oldsmobile=used to be Pontiac

Chrysler=Dodge=Jeep

Ford=Mercury=Lincoln

Hence the Name "BIG THREE"   Hope that helps!

Don't forget Plymouth, they were part of Chrysler.

Ford is the only American brand I will buy from this point forward.  I'll never own another GM, too many problems.  Chrysler is 51% owned by UAW so they are out as well.  (I'm a non-union guy, watched my Dad get messed over by the Teamsters).  That leaves Ford, and the Imports, for me.

Swamp,
You forgot Ford.  Just as bad as GM and Crysuck.

That is why I gave up on the big three and bought Toyota.  Will never buy anything else unless Toyota starts down the road as the big three.

Well that little car needs some fixing up to make it look better (more manly). I think a bundle of fishing poles a few boxes of worms , maybe a bucket of minnows and a bucket of crickets would help.
May as well throw a portable deer stand on top and about six bags of corn in the back also. That looks better already. ;D
