What size

What size/caliber do you carry?

Which would be best for large hands?

Is the subcompact easier to conceal than the compact?

I'm just curious,

I carry a Glock 17 9mm. It's a full sized pistol, but I'm far from petite so it's comfortable and fits my hands well. I know, everybody is gonna say a 9mm is too small. I like a 9mm for the increased magazine capacity, cheaper ammo that enables me to practice more, and less recoil that helps me stay on target for faster follow up shots. Shot placement is more important than anything else anyway. It's all a matter of experience and personal preference I guess. Depending on your size and how you carry it may be easier for you to carry a subcompact, or you may be fine with a full size pistol.

I've gone to the .40 S&W exclusively in my semiautos. I've got the compact and full size and have had the mid size and honestly I think I like the midsize best. In the case of the .40s that would be the 23 with the 22 the full size and the 27 the compact. My 27 is too darn small for my hand without a grip extender and no easier to conceal with it than the 23.

Take a look at a Glock 30 compact .45.

Fits a big hand well, potent and reliable.

A Blade Tech UCH will conceal it well.

I carry either a G22 or G27 (or SW1911).   When concealment isn't an issue I go with the G22, when it is I go with the G27.

G20/G21's are the largest Glocks and would probably be the best for really large hands.   Although I haven't heard anyone complain about the size of the G17/22/31 size pistols.

I've never had a compact so I can't say.   My next pistol is going to be either a G19 or a Sig 229 9mm.

I preffer the mdls 19/23 over the 26/27. Both conceal about the same for me, and the larger 19/23 is easier for me to shoot well.

I carry a full-size 17 in the winter, and a 27 subcompact .40 almost every day. They are small, but easy to conceal, utterly reliable, and accurate enough. I just saddled up a Crimson Trace laser grip on my 27 and it makes it that much more user-friendly. If I had to choose just one, I'd go with a compact like the 19. they fit larger hands better, and are easier to shoot well.

Thanks for the input guys.

The reason I asked is we just got glock as a client where I work. We are getting ready to do a group purchase and with distributor pricing (minimum 40% off) I can't pass up the opportunity. It's just figuring out which one to get.

I'm leaning towards 9mm as I am already set up to reload that caliber. There's too many choices though.

I wich I could but I can't hook anyone up so please don't make me feel bad by asking.
