« on: May 02, 2009, 05:03:05 PM »
i just got a charter undercover, have shot it and it shoots great. when i went to clean it i noticed a little light spot of rust inside the cylider rod shroud. how can i remove it?, i have tried soaking in oil and using a q-tip but it won't all come out. is there anything else i can do?, its not bad but i would like it out. thanks for any help.

Use a piece of #0000 steel wool wrapped around your Q-tip and your cleaning solvent or something like Breakfree CLP and lightly scrub it.  Should take the light rust off and won't hurt the bluing if you don't get carried away with the scrubbing.

Try some FLITZ metal polish. Will not hurt factory bluing.
