I find myself becoming squeamish...I have an over-whelming string of symptoms discouraging me from enticing Yankees to move to the south. That just does not seem wise, being a southerner, and given my past experience with the ones that have moved down here.
Well Dee, seriously, who would ever ask a Southerner for advise when the number of times they've seen either Elvis or a UFO exceeds their I.Q.?
I fell your Wife is Correct No real reason to come to Florida it awful hot, Bugs every where, Bad Storms
Took the family on vacation to Florida a few years back and was sort of discouraged in the end. Florida was supposed to be so beautiful, and the ocean sites were, but the rest of the state seemed like nothing more than a big sinkhole in the middle of a swamp.
And all that fried food we eat down here doesn't agree with the delicate Yankee digestive system.
Well, a few good cooking lessons from someone who knows how to cook could possibly change that.
Friends don't let their friends marry Yankees.
And friends don't let their friends purposely become Rednecks. I could never have married a Souther girl, I never would have gotten used to my wife's hairdo always getting ruined by a ceiling fan. And I certainly wouldn't want my daughter having to look for a Daycare Center so she could go to her Junior/Senior Prom.
YOU YANKEES STAY PUT
my dad married a yankee...but they raised me in the south properly...
Poor woman!
Many northerners who move to the deep South then decide that it is not as nice as they thought it would be...
Absolutely Oldtimer, the South is not nearly as nice as anyone thinks. And if you don't believe me, just ask a few Yankees who have been there.
There, just had to give a little of that funnin back to you Confederates.
