Rush Limbaugh
« on: May 05, 2009, 06:34:25 PM »
Long-time conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh has become a spokesperson for the known anti-hunting organization, the Humane Society of the United States, in a series of public announcements on animal cruelty, the U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance reports.

“Animal protection should never confine itself to the Left or the Right in American politics,” the HSUS stated, of its partnership with Limbaugh, a known cat owner. “The animals need skilled advocates, and the cause deserves the widest audience.”

Sportsmen are not pleased with Limbaugh’s sudden alliance. The U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance has issued a press release urging Limbaugh to sever ties with the HSUS because of its known history of supporting anti-hunting, fishing and trapping.

“Many of Mr. Limbaugh’s supporters are the very people targeted by the HSUS,” said Bud Pidgeon, USSA president and CEO.   “By lending such a prominent voice to supporting HSUS, he is helping to deceive people about the real agenda of the organization.”

Sportsmen are encouraged to speak out against Limbaugh’s support of HSUS by calling him at (800) 282-2882 from noon to 3 p.m. eastern standard time on weekdays, or e-mailing Limbaugh at elrushbo@eibnet.com.

He who joyfully marches in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would suffice.

I disagree with Rushbo on several things, he has no idea about things outdoors or the natural world or just old fashoned common sense conservation. Still he is the best voice that conservatives have right now. The Republicans appear to be belly up now and Rush and a few other AM radio talkers are about the only voice we have left. I'll forgive him an indiscretion with the Humane Society.

Very seldom listen to Rush. Can't stand his Mohammed Ali attitude. I am the greatest. Half my brain tied behind my back. Biggest thing he does that makes me change the channel to the oldies is, he goes on and on and on about one incident or happening for the better part of an hour, explaining it 8 different ways. I get it Rush!!
As far as his dealing with the Humane Society, you have to understand, Rush is no outdoorsman. He's a conservative, but not an outdoorsman. He doesn't hunt, and very seldom fish's. He does get the idea that guns and hunting are not bad. He just doesn't do it. I think the only firearm he owns is a blackpowder rifle that was given to him at an awards banquet, years ago. He likes football and golf, but doesn't hunt. That doesn't make him bad. As far as the Humane Society thing, as long as he doesn't go into a PETA moment, let him rant. gypsyman

His show has taken a turn for the worse in the past year. I seldom listen, but have noticed a lot of swearing, much more repetition. He's fixin' to retire, it seems.

Let's not forget that Limbaugh represents one of the few major niches in the news media that balance the generally left-leaning papers, TV, and public radio. Without people like him, we would not get a lot of information that takes Democrats and Socialists to task.

There may be sad evidence here of something that occurs in the course of human events. The people who get something started are often later disparaged by the very people they have most helped.

I think Limbaugh is against dog fighting and he is a cat lover. We let a lot of lefties in here that dont even care about their gun rights. We can be tolerant of a man that likes dogs and cats I think!  :o

It used to bother me a lot when Rush would talk about 1/2 his brain tied behind
his back and such, then i realized he doesn't seem to pull any punches.
He will and does take on all comers, of course he is in it for the money,
just like every one else. I can't say i agree with him on every thing, but seems like he shines a light on lots of coons that would normally get away. ::)

And Dakota you voted for BHO correct? So I would imagine your beef with Rush lies somewhere else beside this BS you have posted here.

I think everyone here needs to know that you are part of the LiberalGungrabberBabyKiller party and that you are your type are not a trustable source of information.

While I don't agree with El Rushbo on everything, he is entertaining and probably one of the best ones out there at exposing the LiberalGunGrabberBabyKillers filthy lies. It is obvious that the LiberalGunGrabberBabyKillers will go to any lengths to defame Rush or any other conservative.

What have you got against $$$$$$$.  This is America, and we are a capitalist country.  I hope he makes a billion dollars a year.  And someday I hope I make one million dollars a year, though it don't seem likely
That aside, I don't think your assertion is even accurate.

I don't listen to Rush a whole lot, but have listened enough to know he seems to agree with me on many, many issues.  He is an entertainer with a sense of humor, he makes money at it, a good thing, and he was not always rich, he excelled at what he liked to do and spent many hours at it.  I do notice the people that don't like him don't really listen, or hear him...they just don't like him, they can't really put their fingers on what he actually said, or means if you ask them EXACTLY what did he say.  They can't tell you really...so they make something up usually.
As far as him making lot's of money...good for him...I notice he gives a thousand times more of his money away to charity than the wealthy socialists who hate him, that should tell you all you need to know right there.  But then, that's the way it always is.  If you want to mess up a person that hates him, just tell them...Ya, Rush seems to agree with me...it messes them all up because they don't think people are smart enough to actually have their own opinions.
"what do you mean Rush agrees with YOU".....like it can't be that way or something.  Weird huh?   Had my opinions before I listened to him, I guess that's how.

That being said...I like Glen Beck and Lou Dobbs and listen to them a lot more.

OMG we really are toast aren't we!  :)

He's a sock puppet for the Republicrats in my opinion. Same old tired
message: Democrat bad, Republican good. It's obvious the Demorats
are no good. We've known that for years.  Michael Savage is
the only true national level conservative voice out there now. He's not
beholden to anyone unlike Rush and Hannity. They have to watch what
they say for fear of not getting any interviews in the future. Savage
doesn't have that ball and chain to drag around with him. He's not afraid
to says what's on his mind. Borders, language, culture.

"And Dakota you voted for BHO right?"  Man surely not!!! If that were the case to bring this matter up would be extreme hypocracy. Everyone knew before his election about the gun/hunting record of BHO & I posted links with those facts time after time. I would like for Dakota to clear that one up.

Concerning Limbaugh, he would have been better off to speak out against mistreatment of animals on his own & separate of the sorry HS. Many of us hunters don't go for the mistreatment of pets. He should have nothing to do with those clowns, I certainly agree with that part.

Rush has supported: (1) the "unborn" (2) Gun owner rights and the 2nd Ammendment (3) "capitalism" (4) "free enterprise" (5) smaller government (6) strict "constitutional" interpretation (7) full rights to "free speech" (8) against amnesty for illegal alliens and open borders. His biggest advisaries oppose all of the above issues, except free speech they can control, so what is there to disagree about? The way he presents his arguments, or phrases his "colorful" terms? He's not a "milk toast" and "believes" in himself. He comes on as an "egotist", would you be interested in his program if he sounded like "Stuart Smally?" (Oh wait, Stuart did have a program called "Air America"....that failed!)
I now read that Rush is an "animal lover" that some have now "aligned" him with the "Human Society" and possibly PETA :o :o :o!!!  Well that tears it, it time to get out the "pitch forks" and support those real "liberals" or "progressives" (whatever that want to be called) who aren't as hypocritical of who they are :P. (I've even heard he likes women and a good cigar ;D) I don't care for the Human Society or PETA and care even less for their tactics, but I hardly think Rush Limbaugh will become their "poster boy" or give him a "speaking tour" on their behalf. (I think you'd know what he thinks of the "radicals" in these organizations if you have ever listened to him more than a few times through the "filter" of CNN.)
Rush went against Bush when Bush supported Illegal allien "amenesty" and bank "bailouts".  (And, it was evident criticizing Rupulicans was harder for him than criticizing Democrats who supported more taxes and gay marriage.) He has also had the "guts" to put himself up against the current administration who will do everything in their power to put him out of business.  He knows they will use the IRS, DEA, FCC, and media to destroy his reputation and business (he has never been disapointed). Without him and his "ilk" we'd be left with the "thrill-up-my-leg" Matthews, "Perky" Kattie Curic, and Anderson Cooper to "spin" the news on how wonderful this administration is and how "Universal Healthcare", government owned housing, banking, car manufacturing, buying our way out of debt, and apologizing to every dictator in the world is the "change" we all need for a "New World Order".
Whether you like him or not, or agree with him or not, Rush is not only entertaining but isn't afraid to voice his opinion about our government. I happen to agree with the majority of what he espouses regarding his political views and can ignore some of his delivery techniques. I cannot ignore the political views of the "beltway media".
If Rush is a "mouth piece" for the Republican party, they sure aren't listening to him! They haven't been winning any "races" lately either! There are few real conservatives in the Republican party and even fewer in the Democrat party (IMO).
As to his language, I've heard harsher words on this web site. It's amazing of the filth we are exposed to by our "pop" culture music and Hollywood, yet we're offended by a H__L or a D--m here or there by a "conservative". Liberal's don't define "good taste" or what is "politically correct" unless we think their opinion is more important than our own. If you think Limbaugh uses "vulgar" speech, then you haven't been listening very close to his program, you need more exposure to our own teenagers speech;D.
I personally don't care about cats, nor am I a big dog lover (sorry "Lassie"). A big disapointment to me was that "Sheriff Joe" of Mariposa County (AZ) is another animal lover, so what? I still think Joe is as big of a "patriot" as Rush who is trying to maintain the "soverienty" of this country and standing up for he believes.
As long as the "talkmisters" (I'd put Savage in the "mix", as well) reflect a majority of my own opinions, I'll listen to them whenever I please. At present, I don't have to ask the government for permission. More power to them and their message of hope in a country that has lost its "moral compass" and need communicators who are more interested in liberty than "compliance".

A Quote from that "Classic"

Quote
Obama believes the Second Amendment creates an individual right, and he respects the constitutional rights of
Americans to bear arms. He will protect the rights of hunters and other law-abiding Americans to purchase,
own, transport, and use guns.

Wow:

2004 Obama voted against letting someone claim self defense if they used a gun to protect themselves in their home.

2000 he voted to limit handgun purchases!

This DakotaElkslayer is the king of koolaid drinkers! I can easily see why he would not like Limbaugh!
Like most obama supporters he will rue the day before this is over I suspect!

TM7, nice link to an ultra left wing web site. Who, by the way, the bottom line says, this is a parody, in no way associated with biography.com, or anybody else. Come on, do better than that.
As stated earlier, I have alot of the same opinions as Rush, just don't like his concieted atitude. Beck,Dobbs, Hannity, and when I could get him,Savage, get the same message across, without the atitude. And I really don't care how much money any of them make. Good for them, it's the American way. gypsyman

As Rush says, you've got to listen for more than just a few times to really know what his shtick is all about.  If you don't like him, you ought to have a listen to Mark Levine.  That ought to drive you right over the edge.  I love them both.
